I ordered a plain slice, a chicken Parm Hero w Vodka sauce, and a diet soda. The bill came out to 26 bucks. Which in today's day and age is part par for the course: not cheap but it was a substantial meal for the cost. The place is old school but I'm a good way. The place has character, and the people that work there are friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The pizza is thin and crispy but thick enough to have a nice soft layer of dough beneath the cheese and sauce. The sauce itself is on the sweeter side but it's not as sweet as places like dani's of kew gardens. The other dish I had was the chicken Parm w Vodka sauce and that was really good too. The vodka sauce was generously applied to the whole sandwich and was the star of the show with a creamy and flavorful profile. The bread was a nice crispy on the outside and soft on the outside standard Italian hero. I think the bread was the least interesting part of the sandwich but it did the job and let the other flavors stand out. It was also very cheesy but not in an overpowering way. $9 for a pepperoni slice and a Sicilian. Other reviews mention something similar- the quality of this place is generally inconsistent and the portion size has gone down over time. Got a slice and it was soggy enough to collapse before folding. The Sicilian tasted bland and could have been mistaken for something store bought frozen. I’d skip this this spot.

After a long trip around the UK, the first thing I was craving was a classic NYC slice, and Amore Pizzeria delivered exactly that. There's a reason they've been around for over 50 years! The pizza is everything great New York pizza should be—thin, crispy (with that perfect crack in the crust that true NYC pizza lovers know and appreciate), perfectly foldable, and topped with quality mozz. The pizza alone is worth the visit, but the service made the experience even better. The woman working there (who I suspect may be the owner) was incredibly welcoming and friendly. She took the time to chat with us and even helped move our suitcases inside to a safe place while we ate our pie. Fantastic NYC pizza, and great people. I highly recommend Amore Pizzeria to anyone looking for an authentic New York slice. *just like all the good NYV pizza restaurants- they are cash only*

I’ve tried different pizza spots throughout NY and CT and this is the best pizza by far. The moment you take a bite you taste the perfection of the cheese, the sauce, and the dough — it has the right amount of ingredients! Hard to get satisfied with one slice, I have to get at least two.

Still top 5 pizzas I've ever had in my life. It's best about 4 minutes out of the oven with the box open in the car. It doesn't reheat that great. I usually eat 4 slices while still in the parking lot.
